For Lady Macduff’s son: He should be round and well dressed. When people were more plump in Macbeth’s time that meant they were of a wealthy family. Seeing as the boy’s father is a thane it means the family was wealthy and probably could afford some sort of schooling for him. He should look this way act act like a smart aleck because of his witty phrases and the murderer calling him and “egg”.
