The letter that Lady Macbeth receives should be reflective of Duncan’s nation. If the parchment is of nice quality and has a wax seal than it shows that the nation is wealthy. Macbeth would be sending this letter from a temporary war camp, meaning the wealth of the camp would be only a fraction of the nation’s actual wealth.
